Brenton Kreiger

bridge program education manager

From exploring South America to designing solar-powered houses, Brenton's path to bridge building is paved with curiosity and a passion for creating positive change. He earned his Civil and Environmental Engineering degree from UC Berkeley, leading a design team in the Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition. After traveling and soaking in diverse perspectives, he pursued a Master's in Architectural Engineering at CU Boulder. There, his love for experiential learning blossomed as he led design-build courses, igniting his connection to the EIA Bridge Program.

Now, Brenton wears many hats at EIA. He develops engaging online courses, empowering students to become skilled bridge builders. He also coordinates student chapters, fostering a global network of passionate individuals. But his expertise extends far beyond bridges. From groundwater modeling to building material science, his diverse background shines through in his innovative bridge designs.

Brenton's biggest accomplishment? "Normalizing" a custom design process that maximizes efficiency and community benefit. But his passions reach beyond the technical. He's an avid climber and kayaker, finding solace in nature's challenges. A devoted cat dad, he even dreams of starting a business designing eco-friendly "catios" that double as greenhouses or energy generators.

Brenton is a builder, an educator, and an adventurer, driven by a desire to empower others and leave a positive impact on the world, one bridge (or catio) at a time.
