Ana Jovanovic

Eswatini Program Manager

With a heart for development and a drive for impact, Ana boasts 20 years of experience building bridges – both literal and figurative – across the globe. Her journey began in Europe, where she led a youth organization and championed intercultural learning and human rights. Armed with a master's degree in environmental engineering, she brought solar power to remote communities in Malaysia, illuminating lives and futures. Seeking broader impact, she joined a global organization focused on poverty reduction policies in the Global South.

Throughout her career, Ana has consistently championed programs that foster stronger, more resilient communities, promote sustainable growth, and break the cycle of poverty. From empowering over 2,500 European youth through international volunteering, to overseeing the installation of over 1 Gigawatt of solar energy in Malaysia, her impact is tangible and enduring. Notably, she even played a key role in building the first suspension bridge in Eswatini.

But Ana's passions extend far beyond professional achievements. When she's not bridging divides, you might find her immersed in music, the company of furry friends (cats and dogs!), conquering hiking trails, or simply unwinding with movies, TV shows, or a good cookbook. Her spirit thrives on dancing, philosophical discussions, exploring global politics, learning new languages, meeting new faces, and even the quiet satisfaction of gardening. One hidden dream? Mastering an instrument, any instrument, to add another tune to her vibrant life.

Ana is a force of nature – a builder, an advocate, and a lifelong learner. With her passion, expertise, and boundless energy, she continues to bridge communities, empower change, and light the way for a brighter future, one connection at a time.
