Siboniso Simelane

MicroProjects Programme, Technical Project Officer

Sibo's journey is a testament to dedication, passion, and a desire to make a real difference. From his childhood spent molding clay toys and playing soccer in the countryside, he has risen to become a leading force in infrastructure development in Eswatini.

Starting as a volunteer foreman/site coordinator with EIA, Sibo's commitment saw him rise through the ranks to his current position as Technical Project Officer. Since 2018, he has been involved in the construction of nearly all bridges built by EIA in Eswatini, leaving a lasting mark on the landscape and lives of many.

His expertise extends beyond construction. As the National Needs Assessment (NNA) Coordinator since 2020, Sibo plays a crucial role in identifying and prioritizing infrastructure needs throughout the country. Additionally, his leadership in the construction of the first pedestrian suspension bridge in Eswatini stands as a beacon of innovation and progress.

But Sibo's ambitions reach beyond technical achievements. He holds a deep interest in community building initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty, driven by a dream of a society that thrives in peace and love, free from the world's sorrows.
